If
your BMI is in the healthy range, and you are trying to gain weight
but cannot, it is possible your body’s normal state is where
you are now and that it will be hard to move up. It might be possible
if you push up your calorie intake, but remember that a top priority
is eating a healthy, balanced diet.
My suggestion would be to set up an appointment with a registered
dietitian. Such a person can help discuss your weight goals at the
same time advising you on how to maximize the nutrition quality
of your diet. You can find a dietitian in the yellow pages in your
area.
Before you go to the dietitian, you might want to try the following:
Increase your protien intake. It sounds like your metabolism is
real high, so gaining muscle is your best bet to actually gain some
pounds. There are tons of protein shakes and bars and things that
can help you build muscle with exercise. So maybe you can keep working
out and just increase your levels of protein for the muscle.
Good luck! |
