| Here is a
great way to extend Internet Explorer's autosearch functionality.
Normally, when you type a single keyword on the Address line
in IE and hit enter, it'll search for the .com, .edu, then
.org registrations until it finds a match. Well, you can edit
and add to that list! You'll need to dive into the registry,
so this is for advanced users ONLY: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Main\UrlTemplate. From there, you can arrange the
numbers to your liking as well as add different domain hierarchies.
I personally added the .net extension to my list, but .co.uk,
.co.nz, .com.au, or even .nl would work, too. |
